If you're interested in BMWs, you'll want to know the difference between the 330i and the BMW 330Ci. This difference has been relevant each and every year BMW produced a 330 model.
BMW 330i
The BMW 330i is the four-door sedan offered by the company. Production of the 330i sedan ceased in 2006. The 2007 BMW 335i sedan was its replacement.
BMW 330ci
The BMW 330Ci was the coupe and convertible model offered by the company. The "Ci" designation was last used on 2006 models. Currently, the company only uses the model series number (i.e. 330, 335) followed by the "i."
BMW 3301i
BMW never manufactured a 3301i model.
BMW 330Xi
BMW also offered a 330Xi. This model was the four-door sedan with all-wheel-drive.
Confusion With Model Designations
BMW is notorious for using three-number model designations, followed by "i," 'Ci," or "Xi." This has led to confusion among the general public, and the adopted use of the model number, followed by "coupe," "sedan," or "convertible."
