They come from a variety of different manufacturers, Tempur-Pedic being one of the more known ones.
Does a memory foam mattress require a box spring?
The short answer is no. The long answer is as follows: A well-designed memory foam mattress should be comfortable on nearly any flat surface. It is the foam that provides the adjustments to your body, so a box spring shouldn't be necessary for comfort. When placed under memory foam mattresses, box springs are usually used to increase the elevation of the bed, but that can be done with a raised platform or base as well.
