Background
The all-wheel or two-wheel-drive Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility vehicle has been manufactured by General Motors since 1995 and is essentially a shortened version of the full-size Chevrolet Suburban.
Trim Levels
The Tahoe is offered in the base LS, the mid-level LT1 and LT2 versions and the top-of-the line LTZ model, according to Edmunds.com.
LS
The LS features a 40/20/40-split bench seat, 17-inch alloy wheels, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel and a 50/50-split third-row bench seat.
LT1
The LT1 gets all of the LS equipment, plus front bucket seats, OnStar navigation system and fog lamps.
LT2
The LT2 allows the owner to step up a notch with an additional six-disc CD changer, rear park assist and tri-zone automatic climate control.
Power
Edmunds.com reports the base LS is powered by a 295-horsepower, 4.8-liter V-8 or the optional 320-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8, and all LT models receive the 5.3-liter version as standard.
