    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Volvo engines are made by Volvo Cars Engines in Skovde, Sweden. The company was originally called "Penta Works," which eventually was bought out by Volvo in 1935.

Their small marine diesels are all badge-engineered and are designed in Japan and built in England by Perkins. Volvo only contribute the badge on the top and the horrendous profit margin!
