Help answer this question below.

Sorry if this gets posted twice. Bases loaded, 2 outs, ground ball hit to an infielder. Which base should the ball be thown to? (Does it matter if it's hit to the right or left side of the infield)?

    Without question, the play should be to first base. All of the other runners will be leading off and running on contact so they will be closer to their next base then the batter/runner.

    Once the out is recorded at first base, no runs will score because the third out will be a force.

    Of course, if the ball is hit directly as an infielder and they would easily beat a runner to a bag, they need not throw the ball but simply touch the closest base.

    Home plate. They infielder is already facing the catcher and you're risking a run scoring, so you want to get the ball home.

    Doesn't matter which side. It should be thrown to the catcher at home plate to stop the scoring run and get the 3rd out!

    Throw it to the catcher to keep the other team from scoring.
