GPS systems are some of the most popular electronics on the market. They have many ways to make travel easier and safer for you and your family.
Hands-Free Directions
GPS takes the directions out of your hands, which makes it safer to drive. GPS talks to you, so your attention is always on the road instead of glancing up and down at a piece of paper.
Points of Interest
Points of Interest, of POIs, are businesses or restaurants around the area that might help you in your travels. Most GPS also have buttons to find gas, hospitals or ATMs. The GPS will give you whatever you ask for, whether it is a specific restaurant or just a gas station to fill up, within a three-mile radius that moves with you as you move.
Adjusting to You
GPS devices adjust to you, whether you want to take a certain road or even if you make a wrong turn. They will guide you back to the correct roads, or recalculate a new route, which you cannot do with paper directions.
The Home Button
All modern GPS devices have the "Home" function. This allows you to program your home address into the devices, and no matter where you are or where you go you can press that "Home" key and it will give you directions to your house.
Favorites
GPS devices offer a function called "Favorites," where you can program addresses you like to visit. Whether it's a restaurant a couple of towns over or a family member in another state, this will function much like an address book. Having everything in one device makes life a little easier.
