Help answer this question below.
I sold Avon. The time and effort it took to even get a sale wasn't worth the money to me! If you have a large group of friends and family who would buy regularly from you... it'd work better.
I'm an AVON Independent Sales Rep at the moment and can not complain. I make as much or little money as I want. It all depends on how hard you want to work at it. Work is work no matter what you do.
Number one you have to enjoy what you do
two believe in what you are doing
three have disipline
I work full time and do this as a supplement to my primary income and it is working fine.
Hope this ansers your question. I can be contacted by email at avonbycelida@yahoo.com
I have been solicited to sell Mary Kay 3 times. I never accually have though. My aunt sells MK though, she has for years. She's even won a couple pink Cadaliacs over the years. So I guess it worked alright for her.
I sell AVON right now. I sell comfortable to help my husband in doing all bills and we recently bought a home. I sold Amway long time ago back in the early 90's. Love the products. Cant find noone here in Texas that sells it. Would love to get back into selling it though.
I have been a distributor for both "Shaklee" and "Amsoil", but I'm not a good salesman and neither endeavor worked out very well.
I tried Amway back in 1997 in Scotland and quickly realised it was never gonna make money - in a billion million gajillion years! for me anyway! lol
No I have never sold any door to door items.
I've sold AVON and it is a SCAM. It's set up so the REAL customer is the REP. AVON will bleed you dry and disappoint you. DONT FALL FOR IT. In order to make $1,000 PROFIT a month, you would need 500 customers. AVON even admits in its book entiteld AVON that 99% of its reps quit. AVON is the ONLY direct sales company that sells directly to customers via avon.com and an 800 number. AVON admits teh average avon customer only spends $150/yr, by placing 6 $25 orders. The books come out TWENTY SIX times a year!!! TWENTY SIX! VERY VERY hard to turn a profit selling AVON.
No, I haven't
I sell amway right now... its ok...but would be better if prices were cheaper... ;)

Have you ever sold Avon, May Kay, Amway or any other door to door sales items? If you did, did you supplement your income or make enough for it to be a "salary?"
