The Acai Berry (pronounced a-sigh-ee) is a fruit produced by the Acai palm, a native tree in parts of South America and Central America, and has a wide variety of purposes. The appearance of this fruit as a trendy North American food is very recent, and according to WebMD, "Acai berry does have health risks."
