Is it true that the Iraq war in 6 years (2003-2009) has killed more people than World War II in 6 years (1939-1945)?

    American deaths in the Iraq war is between 4,000 and 4,500. Iraqi deaths are between 93,000 - 103,000, but this includes suicide bombings, "regular" murders, etc. The death toll in World War II is between 68 - 72 million.

    Whoever told you that the Iraq War has killed more people than WW2 has no idea what they're talking about. Their ineptitude...there are no words.

    wow ... i guess American high schools really aren't teaching history anymore ... there were more deaths of American servicemen in one day on Omaha Beach than the entire Iraq and Afghan wars combined for their entire duration

    I have a question for you Anon; how old are you and where are you being educated? You seem to be comparing pebbles to boulders. And these numbers are readily available. Every life lost is one too many but we have a military to break and destroy an enemy who for most of our history has struck the 1st blow, and mostly in stelth.
