    K-Mart. gave me $20 too much change.

    Gave it back.

    Made her day.

    Maybe you should ask when haven't they.
    It seems if the have to add anything in there head they screw up. If the register tells them how much they do okay. I just bought something that was 2 for $4 and I only bought one. The Cashier said 2 for $4, so one would be $1.50
    What kind of education system does the US have where a grown person doesn't know that half of 4 is 2?

    Last Thursday.
    I made a purchase of $4.05, and instead of counting out 95 cents (I almost never have exact change), the cashier said "Screw It" and charged me 4 bucks.

    it's been ages since i used cash to complete a transaction at any store/restaurant ... i did have the snack machine give me back an extra dollar in change so i basically got a bag of Fritos for free and an extra buck :)

    A few weeks ago I purchased something that was $10 exactly and I handed the guy a $20 bill. He took it and thought that was the end of it, until I reminded him that I gave him $20, not $10.
