What do you prefer when you are at a check out: to be checked out very quickly or the cashier being courteous and friendly to you?

  Some stores I shop in are not like that.

• In many stores, the cashiers are your only personal contact to them. Of course she/he should be courteous and friendly, whether she/he has to rush you through or not.
  .
  In one of our stores, especially at certain times of the year (when things are going on at the high school), the cashiers pay LITTLE attention to you as a customer, except to accept coupons and ring you out (take your money and give you your receipt). The rest of the time, they're talking to the bagger or another cashier about what's going on at school. :-P
