Are American voters desperate for leadership?

Why do you think Obama got elected?

Not this American.

I could use a new Governor perhaps...( our present one is a useless ass, ), but on a national level I think we have the right people in place for the jobs that must be done.

No. The American voters are the leaders. They know what they want to do and where they want to go.
I think American voters are desperate for someone who:

will represent the voters best interests not just in Washington but all levels of government not special interests

understand that the voters are being taxed into the poor house

understand that the voters, not government, are best suited to make their own personal decisions

understand that the voter knows that government has never can never and will never create a job of any sort.

understand that there are areas of business that do need to be heavily regulated.

understand that there are areas of business that do not need to be heavily regulated.

understand that the states and the people are the core not the national government.

understand that an overly complicated and terribly unfair tax system needs immediate revision

In short, someone who will get government out of the way so that the voters can go where they need to go and do what they need to do.
Ronald Reagan said it best,
"Government is not the solution to the problem. Government is the problem."

Not so much leadership as seeing that things are changing for the better. It's taking a bit longer than we would like, but I think if we see this through we'll be glad we did.
