They say violent video games are the cause of teens and some adults to go on rampages and shootimg spree's.If so,what games made hitler and jack the ripper do what they did?

    I'd have to say Resident Evil and Mortal Combat...oh wait a sec, those weren't around when those guys were alive huh? Anyway I do not believe for one sec that a video game can launch a person on a killing spree. I beleive that that person must have had some serious mental issues before they even picked up a controler...

    I don't know who 'they' are, buit I don't think that any authoritative source would say that the games 'cause' these events. It is certainly true that they contribute to a de-sensitisation process that increases the possibility that someone will engage in these types of aberrant behaviours. Nothing is as simple as 'video games cause X, Y & Z.'

    Video games aren't the reaon people do f*&ked up things. They do those things, because those people are f*&ked up.

    good point its like its crazy now a days it's really easy to point a finger but is it actually their fault?....for example that guy that made the comment about the rutgers bball team being nappy haired h*&% the next day i was watching oprah and they were blaming it on rap...i was like WTF lol

    It would probably be more accurate to say that the kind of people who are likely to go on rampages and shooting sprees are also likely to first vent their frustration through playing violent video games.
