I probably will but not until closer to Christmas. I can't believe they are releasing a Christmas movie during the first week of November. I think this is way too early.

I already have a bad taste in my mouth about this movie -- I saw a trailer for it with Jim Carrey and the director excitingly telling the plot of Dickens' classic " A Christmas Carol." As if we don't know the story and characters by now? Carrey is whispering and leaning into the camera -- " . . and then this next ghost -- oh my, -- he's from the future!! . ." Ug. I chose to take it as an insult to my intelligence. :) +6

I have not been impressed with the trailers either but I am a sucker for any version of A Christmas Carol. So, I will probably trot off to the local multiplex soon and see it.

No surprise! Me, too! The movie itself looked awfully interesting! Though Carrey has the ability to irritate me in ways to ruin littel moments in a film. Yet, he managed not to ruin my memories of Karloff's voice for The Grinch in that movie of his. I love the animated Grinch original, though. I need to let go of this trailer. I still can't believe the idiocy of Carrey sitting in a chair, sharing the story as if no one in the world had ever heard of it. [ And I admit -- I truly adore the animated Mr. Magoo musical version of A Christmas Carol. :) ]

I've seen the story too many many times. It's tired now.
