I don't know Texas law, but it is a shame that people move to the country and begin complaining about the smell of manure and demanding city services. They should have stayed where they belong. Our farm land is fast disappearing.
We have someone staying with us. Not the best situation. Came here with hardly any warning. We are giving him 3 nights and 3 nights only.

You're reading As rural real estate areas develop in Texas, may homeowners force a previously existing neighboring farm or ranch to change its land use practices (sights, smells, etc.) or move? What Texas legislation addresses this problem?

I agree being a victom of this myself! I live deep in the woods and have chickens, and turkeys always have. Someone moved in up the street a ways and have reported me for free range chickens and turkeys, it is against the law, the lady said at the court house the only way they would of known and it becomes anissue is if someone reports it . we have WILD ones (turkeys running around too)
They have reported me for my dog running ON MY property (she always has and never wonders off the property) I guess that is against the law too. These people moved in from the city and have been nothing but a pain in the rump!! they have been reporting what has been a way of life up here for ages! I have raised my chickens and turkeys for 15 years!! My grandfather did before me..
It is sad and a real shame they want the fresh air and the trees but not the way of life.
