I'm about 45 miles from the East side of Pittsburgh. Very dangerous place...
However, I'm only 30 miles from the city of New Kensington which has also become a very bad place to be at night.
I rented an apartment there while I was in my late teens and early twenties. It was considered bad then and has only gotten worse since.
75 miles...Phoenix, Arizona.
About 3000 miles.
A couple of thousand miles I would think.
about 20 millimeters
but who has to wait for night, you could get mugged in broad daylight around here.
10 min drive(around 5 miles), its the ghetto of my city, bunch of racist people hatin white people...seriously, only white people get mugged going through there.
25 or 30 miles +4
Well, several select 'East Bay' cities renowned for their adventures in night-time negative excitement are just across the Bay. About 70 or so miles into downtown Oakland, for instance, to a virtually guaranteed mugging, if not much worse!
Tip: bring a weapon of some sort. Especially if you're planning on copping any illicit substances. A concealed 9mm should do fine.
;-)
A 5 minute drive north of my house.
about 175 miles +5
Maybe a 15 to 20 minute walk. Its really not a good idea to walk around at night in my area.
Prob 40 miles.
New Haven is only 15 miles away. College student was murdered there a couple of months ago.
Dallas is over 4 hours away. : D
I'd say between 75 and 100 miles.
Well..I just moved here so I hope I am not in or near an area that would be that dangerous. Especially since I run at night.
with my luck, just a few miles.

You're reading How far do you live from somewhere where there'd be a fair risk of being mugged if you walked down the street at night?
