You remind me very much of what I was afraid I would become when I had children. I was terrified I would repeat the same mistakes my mother made. But when I see you, I don't feel judgemental. By virtue of being born, everybody has the right to grow (or not) at their own pace. I was able to forgive everyone's sins but my own. That is exactly why I married and had children so late in life.
Thanks Phillis. You and your kids are blessed. I am so very lucky I made some amends and my daughter is fine and with me now. She is a wonderful girl, no thanks to me. Her dad did most of the work and she did even more.
She still needs her mother, Hari. That will never go away. There will always be a tiny sliver of that little girl inside her who needs your love and approval.
