If I know someone who is an informant for the police is it illegal for me to tell someone else what i know?

Nope, just hope that word doesn't get out that you turned on an informant. The throat you cut may be your own. +4

No, they do it at their own risk. There's nothing in the criminal code. plus no one likes a snitch!

- Police say a lot of things to scare people..it's simply a empty threat to protect their source. (Habitual Liars) I say this in a nice way because a few friends are cops but they use stuff like that as a deterrent!

- I got to make this clear here, it's okay to say "hey, that person is a snitch and talking to the cops" but if you are telling people info about the investigation then yeah you could be charged with interfering in a police investigation! it all depends on what you are saying. most crown/D.A don't entertain the charge if brought to court..meaning they would drop the charge unless they have really good proof

Call the police station and ask.It may not be illegal but it is morally wrong.
