Help answer this question below.
First, be prepaired to show exaclty where the property lines are. Then ask nicely for him to remove his items including a specific deadline. You could offer to help him move the items onto his property. If he won't then send a certified letter requesting the same thing. Also state that after the deadline all remaining items will be moved or disposed of. If the items are still there, remove the items from your lot and place them on his. One word of warning. IF he has been using your property for an extended time (7 years I believe) he may have the right to claim it as his own under certain public domain law. This is not a myth, my father-in-law lost 25 feet of his property in this way because he allowed a neighbors boat to be parked on edge of his lot.
He is trespassing; file a lawsuit.
Call the police and get a paper trail started. Then call a lawyer.

We have someone staying with us. Not the best situation. Came here with hardly any warning. We are giving him 3 nights and 3 nights only.

You're reading Trying to sell our vacant lot. Neighbor won't remove things off the property. It's like he uses the space for storage. Can he be ticketed, or what other measures can we take to get his things off our property?
