You've spun a bearing. Depending on how much damage there is the solution could range from just replacing the bearings to replacing the crankshaft and bearings. Honestly though, it would probably be cheaper to replace the entire engine with one from a wreckers yard or to sell it and get another car.
Unfortunately, knocking noises are usually an indication of a serious engine problem.
You will most likely need to have the engine rebuilt or replaced.

sounds like the oil pump went out. depending on how much you drove it like that, the motor could have been damaged.
Given '02 TC. 45K miles, Don't really want but have to keep (family).

01 grand prix won't start when its hot outside~ if pushed into shade &/or doors & hood left open for 15 min, car will start. Whats going on?

Will 215/75/r15 work instead of 235/75/r15 for a E150 Van?
Looking for used set of 235's but so far I can't find them. Did find good 215's.

Engine has had slipping sensation lately. Today it jerked, slipped, & check engine light came on. Then it died. Did restart. Thoughts?

You're reading 93 ford taurus.. my oil light came on and then it started making an knocking noise. so the next day which was yesterday i got an oil change. and now its doing it again but worst.. what should i do? i need this car
