    I believe that's Pet Semetary. Although it's an upstairs bedroom rather than an attic, the sister is named Zelda and dying from some kinda spinal deformation thing.

    Protip-The actor portraying Zelda in the movie was a man.

    Either that or it's from some book I haven't read.
