I agree with your assessment of the questioner's mentality, but I'm not convinced that nobody goes to war to get laid.
I'll agree that 1) Most wouldn't go to war to get laid, and 2) Even those who would go to war to get laid aren't going to plainly say so.
However, sexual domination, or perhaps better stated as "the right to breed", has played a part in warfare, particularly in years gone by.
Even today, part of our motivation in defending home and hearth is the thought of the defenseless (or so we estimate) one with whom a man gets laid.We don't want her harmed, and our revulsion at the thought of some foreign soldier having his way with her is powerful motivation.
Now if the questioner hadn't considered the matter of warfare in his question?
The allure/promise of sexual favors will lead certain people to do stupid things; that's powerful-one of the most powerful forces that people will commonly face.
