I think that Dr. King would be a bit bemused that we have not come farther by now. He would be pleased at the progress we have made but wonder why it is taking so long.

I think that he would be very fast to chastise blacks and other minorities who use the race card. We all use it, including whites, but he would be quick to point out that minorities using the race card makes race relations worse.

I really do not remember much about Malcolm X but I think he would focus on only the negatives where Dr. King would be quick to point out the positives in an effort to stimulate more positive progress. He would give kudos where deserved and not make them up. Then he would continue to encourage progress.

Dr. King was one of my childhood heroes.

I think that they would each feel very differently about the matter. Dr. King would marvel at the progressions-while at the same time be disgusted by modern media's portrayal of a succesful black man-and discuss how to further improve equality. Malcolm X (prior to converting to a Sunni Muslim) would only see the negatives, and find reasons to seperate people through their differences.
