How many (if any) military bases have you been onto? If you're not in the military, why were you there?

I've been on the Norfolk VA and Pensacola FL Naval bases. I was there visiting my son.

I've been on a couple of dozen army and air force bases, a couple of navy shore bases, several frigates and one submarine. I wasn't in the military, but I can't say what I was doing at these places.

I served at 4: San Diego, CA; Great Lakes, IL; Norfolk, VA; and Newport, RI Naval bases.

Just one...The naval weapons station in goose creek, sc..I was there for a job interview..

Lets see, I was USN so,Great Lakes , NAS Kingsville,Tx., NAS Pensacola,Fl.,Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Tinker airforce base Okla., NAS Dallas Tx., and some airforce base in Venezuala but can't remember the name of it.

I was in the Air Force 8 1/2 years collectively; Edwards AFB CA, March AFB CA, Balboa Naval Hospital CA, Shepard AFB TX (before and after they took out the drinking on base) Cannon AFB NM, Prince Sultan AB, Azores Portugal, Barksdale AFB LA, Osan AB KR; theres undoubtly places ive forgotten, most of these were TDYs; there pretty much the same, Commisary, BX, Bowling Alley and hopefully a Class-6

11. Kimberley, Pietermaritzburg, Simons town, Oshivelo, Oshikati, Phalaborwa, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Windhoek, The Bluff, Soweto.

Probably a dozen. Various events, consulting engagements, "civic leader programs" and I belonged to an officers club and would eat there. Even been inside the Cheyenne Mountian Complex and flown on some Air Force missions.

I visited one in Germany on what they call "Girl's Day" its kind of like take your daughter to work day but instead of going with your parents you go to a local work place and I picked the base. It was a really cool experience, we got to get in a tank and learn to assemble and break down an M-16 and hang out with the soldiers who all called me "Die Amie Spione" It was so much cooler than learning about the filing system at my moms office.

I was stationed at Clark AB, PI; Ellsworth AFB, SD; Castle AFB, CA and was TDY or at school at Lackland AFB, TX; Chanute AFB, IL; Osan AB, SK; Kadena AB, JP and Keesler AFB, MS. What a great time! Don't regret a minute of it.

2, the one down the road from us, where my son was an air cadet, and the one in the middle of the north island, to attend their air museum !

Stateside: In North Carolina: Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg, Pope AFB, Camp Johnson In South Carolina: Shaw AFB, Charleston AFB In Florida: Eglin AFB, Tyndall AFB In Mississippi: Keesler AFB In Texas: Lackland AFB, Shepard AFB In Nevada: Nellis AFB In Idaho: Mountain Home AFB Overseas: Italy: Aviano AB, Camp Darby, Decimomannu AB Germany: Ramstein AB, Spangdahlem AB Korea: Kunsan AB, Osan AB Japan: Kadena AB (plane just stopped there for two hours) Belgium: Kleine-Brogel AB Thats all I can think of at the moment, sure I missed some, but whatever.
