Wrong question my friend. the correct one is: When did the Jews/Zionists occpied Palestine?
Because Palestine is an Arab land for thousands of years.
In precise,
Palestine is an Arab land all the way . There were some Arab Jews (I mean Arab speaking the Arabic Language) living side by side with the Arabs in Palestine and in other countires such as Iraq, Moroccow, Libya, Yemen and Egypt with small numbers.
When Europeans and other nations expelled the Jews for many reasons attributed to the Jews built aggressiveness, disonesty and else. Please browse:

and after the Nazi's (so called) massacre of the Jews for the same reasons, they flee to other nations who did not want them too, the Zionist Movement, lead at that time by Theodor Herzl and others, planned with the westerns leaders to find a land for the Jews. They had several choices at that time including Mozambique, Uganda, Kongo, Cyprus and other states. The Jews did not show any interest in any of these lands and failed Herzl who thought of a thing that could collect the Jews and stir their emotions. Then his thinking led him to the so called "the promised land" which is the Arab land for thousdands of years "Palestine".
The put their scheme and after the 2nd world war, Palesine and the Arab land was part of the Othmanic Empire. After the collapse of the Othmani Empire after the second world war, the Palestine fill under the Brtish colonialism. Britain at that time closed an eye on the Jews imigration "remember these are zionists, they don't speak Arabic" from allover the world especially from Germany and the Soviet Union. Then, the British promised the Jews to give them Palestine "Belfour Promise to the Jews in 1917) to build a Jew state on the Arab land (PALESTINE):

He gave what he did not own to those who don'd own it, causing all the sufferings to the Arab Palestinians since then, and which also caused suffering to all people who supported Israel either soldiers or else.
This suffering continued till today and caused many other pains in Iraq, Afghanistan, USA and elsewhere in the world.
To this conflict better and un-bias way, keeping in mind that this is an Arab land all the way, please browse:

I know that the Jews are much powerfull than us financially, politically and holding the world media (T.V, NEWSPAPERS, THE INTERNET) and have thousands of Israeli sites which explain the issue otherwise, I still believe that your people should seek the truth wherever it may be and find it. Stand beside the Arab Palestinians who lost everything including lives, land, homes, trees, holy land... everything, and most of them deported outside their home land. I'm one of them. I left Palestine during the second invation to Palestine on 1967. I'm 53 years old and neven been able to go back home!
Imagine, a state with different language, different races, different traditions and different minds occupy a land which is the heart of the Arab world and was and still an Arab land!
All neighboring nations in the world have similarities either in language, culture or religions except Israel because it does not belong HERE!

Regarding the historical background, the Arab identity of Palestine
emanates not from the Islamic conquest, but with the Canaanites who came
into Palestine from the shores of the Arabian Peninsula around 2500
B.C., and who had sovereignty over the land until around 1000 B.C.
Hence Palestine was called the Land of Canaanites, until the Philistines
came from the island of Crete and intermarried with the Canaanites to
melt peacefully into them leaving only the name behind: Palestine
