    This is my 09 favorite

    I Believe

    I Believe
That i will touch the stars
    and fly on solar winds
    from galaxy to galaxy
    for all eternity.
    For without belief
    i have no dreams
    no inclination
    to chase and find
    my inner being
    and lay to rest
    forever my fears.
    For in belief
    i have inner peace

    Fiddle Playing Creole Bastard

    Either of these two...

    -Holiday Traffic

    Driving home drunk with water
    From snowglobes
To see a would-be father in your living room
Swords drawn, a prophet to your screams
While I tripped and fell on my own bayonet
Long dulled by your heart and lungs
To your photographs: my torture device
    My crucifix in a shoebox
    And I, a gilded cage
    A sultan on your couch
    Watching the cosmopolitan image
    And your thirsty work
    How close I was
    Your uncooperative tongue
I've considered the lilies for far long enough
You schizophrenic Lilith atop my Christmas tree
And maybe one day, I'll sling off your reigns
And cast you on the earth like a curse.

    -Hephaestus 18

    Put away your cameras, kids
    Your rings and your cologne.
These smiles will leave no impression
Nor the things that you have on
In my mouth is a little blood
And in my hands are something new

So can you just settle down?

    Before the fires go out?

I see them marching on Tell al-Mutesellim
With the waters close behind them,
Though I've forgotten how to swim.
And we gave our best in light of consequence
    On the heels of Abauzit.
And we all go down in history.

So turn off your cell phones
There's no one left to call.
They've all gone out to see these signs
They've all gone out to fall
And on my lips are a few frightened words
And on my mind is something new

So can we all settle down?

Amid fires that will not go out.

I see them marching on Tell al-Mutesellim
With the furies close behind them
    Singing "Alhamdulillah"
And we gave our best in light of consequence
With our daunting gift of freedom
And we all go down in history.

    Love’s Dare

From my heart, sings my soul’s song.
I must speak it’s message for I have not long.
To impart my words of loving care.
To all those who wish to take love’s dare.

Kindness to others and compassion to all,
Is the Divine’s most humble and loving call.
Giving to others from the depths of our hearts,
Shows what our divine nature’s can impart.

Smiling at all the world, harms not a one.
It teaches other how to have some fun.
Bringing laughter to the world is a noble cause.
Showing the world its nature in humorous collage.

True understanding and patience are the greatest keys.
Through them you can melt away a persons dis-ease.
By sowing the seeds of love, kindness and harmony,
You can bring forth peace on the wings of destiny.
