It does not really affect anything. Did you hire the law firm to represent you, or the individual attorney?
Of counsel can mean several things. It is often used for partners of a firm who retire (but still consult occasionally). It also often used for attorneys who are no longer eligible to become partner, but still work in the firm. It also used to signify attorneys who run their own practice but also take on some work from the firm they are “of counsel” for.

You're reading The Lawfirm as it was known is now being disolved to only the 2 out of the beginning firm and it was my Attorney Lawfirm now He is going to be "OF COUNCEL" to the 2 partners what does this Mean with my client relationship with him being "OF COUNCEL"?
