  • To be brutally honest, I have no sympathy for the mother and her kid. The airline did the right thing---besides the great annoyance of some brat screaming his bloody head off, the passengers could not hear the pre-flight safety instructions. And who knows how long the kid would continue to scream during the flight itself? As a passenger who pays good money for a nice, comfortable, safe flight, I certainly wouldn't want some brat bellowing like crazy for who knows how long! If you can't control your child (and obviously this is probably not the first time she has had a similar problem with the kid), you shouldn't take him aboard a plane unless you know what to do. I've travelled on long overseas flights before, and I have to say I never like it when there are stupid noisy kids on board. As a parent myself, I know how to placate my children when they act up. Not like this "mother" who did not.
  • I'm afraid I can't go along with the Mum this time. They have labelled these kids with all sorts of troubles when, it is very obvious, a bloody good whack across the nether regions would suffice, saving the Government, tax payers and Airline thousands of dollars. The goody two shoes people have had their go, how about letting the parents have their go. Signed Smack, smack.
  • Yes I did. I'm fairly sure that the parents on that flight would have understood the difficulties and those who have no children would probably have felt justified in their aggravation. I think it is unfair. Some people's tolerance for things/people that inconvenience them is nil. They seem to think it is all about them, never giving a thought to the person going through the difficulty. What if the child were in pain? The same people who complained could well be those at parties who are loud, noisy, drunk and keep the neighbors awake. It all depends upon which fight your dog is in with some people. As I said, I think it was unfair. Happy Monday! :)
  • It looks like a 2 years old got off to a terrible start. Personally for myself as a passenger I wouldn't mind flying on a plane with a bunch of screaming children cause I cannot hear a darn thing since I'm deaf, but I also have to think about the other passengers too because it wouldn't be fair for them to be forced to sit there and tolerate a screaming child once the plane is in the air..Apparently the mother didn't think about how it would effect the others, more so its all about "me". Someone has to draw a line somewhere...+3
  • people will complain for just about everything these days! BTW, in your your profile it says that your avatar is your dog - you might want to change that - LOL
  • Parents need to get over this idea that the entire world should be as kid friendly as Chuck E Cheese. It is the Parent's responsibility to teach their own children that certain environments and situations have firm expectations of behavior. If they don't, their kids are going to be losers anyhow.
