Maybe for about 8-12 hours.

Sure, take two tabs and "fly" out the window. Depression, gone.
-
It wont cure it but it is a short-term remedy.

It will intensify your depression. You have to be in the right state of mind to experience a trip. If you are depressed and take it, make sure you have someone close to help you when it goes bad.
-
Of course not, at best it will only postpone the inevitable, leaving you more depressed, and more than likely in worse shape than when you started. The only way to beat depression is with a clear mind and open eyes. And by the way...I choose Cake!!!!

It would not be my choice. Depression is an awful thing to live with. I have been there and I feel the best way to work your way through it is to go to counselling where you can get everything out that is making you depressed. You will be surprised how much better you feel once you quit holding everything inside until you feel like you are going to explode. I still go to counselling every 2 weeks. It's a good feeling to know I can say whatever I want and it will go no further. Drugs are not ever the solution unless they are prescribed by your doctor. I take one prescibed anxiety med and I feel I am doing much better with the combination of my prescribed meds and my great counselor. I wish you the best. :-)

Only the individual can cure their own depression but LSD can show them the way. In my opinion, LSD has the greatest potential out of all illicit drugs to aid in overcoming depression by showing people a new perspective and how to overcome things that seemed so trivial before the experience. Often times, depression is simply a result of negative thinking patterns that have grown strong over time. LSD can break down such ways of thinking, but its up to the user to continue on with the lessons learned after the experience. After the experience, you may have a new start, being able to see your past ways from a logical perspective, possibly realizing that you have more power over your thoughts and emotions that previously recognized. There are potential risks in using LSD, especially if you are already in a negative state of mind, but it does have the potential to be very therapeutic in the long term. I do not recommend people use LSD because of the potential risks, but for those who choose to use it, I hope it benefits you as much as it has me.

No. Might make it worse and could add schizophrenia to your troubles. +5

It doesn't seem like a long term solution.

Self medication,,that I have done for many years,,all kinds of drinking and drugs, many combination's,speed/coke/mixed with drinking, abstinence,,none worked in the long run, weed just allowed me to eat at will and sleep,,some of those sleep times were less than desirable s the dreams would be intensified. I suggest professional help instead of playing doctor,,unless you ARE a doctor,,then you can just lose you ability to practice medicine and end up in the gutter, like all drug users usually do(legal gutter, emotional gutter, etc)
