Splendour in the Grass William wordsworth
What though the radiance
which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In years that bring the philosophic mind

i could go on, but...I don't know what exactly you are looking for, enduring suffering against difficult odds encompasses to much of life--war, love lost, death, racism, sexism, hate of every kind
is there something specific you are looking for?
Because they have had reason to do so, have met or knew someone who had/ have/ are going through difficult odds. That makes great poetry. Kurt Cobain is my first answer. Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland.
