Help answer this question below.
You are not being specific so I shall answer the two ways I can take this:
Whites are more likely to be accused of racism, whether or not they are racist.
Minorities are more likely to experience destructive effects of racism due to being in the minority. That kind of comes along with being in any minority group.
However, if a white is a minority somewhere (say, Detroit's inner city schools), they are doubly f*cked because not only do they get the destructive racism but they get called "racist" if they complain.
Minorities, being minorities, taken cumulatively, experience more destructive racism but to deny that whites get it is incorrect. It depends completely on where you live and who is the majority and who is the minority.
I'm pretty sure that white people have been on the winning team for racism for quite some time now.
Then again, maybe that is just me.
What do you want to hear, that you're better than a black or an asian? Nobody wins because it's a fools game.
Im not sure what you mean "never win" but blacks, mexicans, etc have systematically and historically been the underdog and can't be racist if you are the oppressed in the first place, but thats not to say we have free reign to say whatever.
yes. but there is racism racists in every race.
It's just you....;-D...
Nobody wins when it comes to racism.
Your are welcome.. I will look at that link as well - here is some info regarding what I spoke of or perhaps pertaining to that subject .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dred_Scott_v._Sandford

You're reading Is it just me or does it seem like white people never win when it comes to racism?

Sounds accurate to me, Ari.

Thank you for understanding what I'm trying to say. :)

Thankyou both. :)

I tried to cover all sides of what I thought you were trying to ask, Loving Life. I am glad I succeeded. :)

You're welcome. :)

I appreciate that. :)

I try to be objective at all times, succeeding, I think, more often than not with a 2.78% possibility of error (I also make up statistics on the spot).
.
I read other comment threads, Loving Life, and have seen you get nailed. I just wanted to say that I am not white. :) I am from a tiny minority group that is generally quite disliked.

You too. Me too. I'm a lot happier now. I'm also with a new guy. :D How have you been?
by AnonymousGirl on November 1st, 2009
Good deal. :) Eh, I am living and still with Keysha. I expect that last bit to be for the rest of my life.

Yep. That's awesome. :)

We think so. :)

My old Ragged cat is also still going strong. Last we spoke, I believe, he was still recovering from hemobartinella. Not only has he made a full recovery but he continues to get better despite being about 18 years old. He has kitty crazies daily, eats well, etc. The only problem is he is going blind in his sighted eye (the other was blind when I found him).
.
Oh, I got one of the most heart wrenching answers today about that very topic:

I am sure that she was searching for information about the disease and found my answer. I hope she comes back to check it.

It's awesome to hear that your cat is still going strong. :) That lady is very lucky that you are on here.

Frankly I do not think her vet knows what he is doing. I believe he is soaking her for money but transfusions are expensive. Why did he not give that cat a transfusion?? ANY vet worth his salt knows that severe anemia means difficulty breathing. He also, I would bet money, does not know FIA.
.
I hope she checks back but, frankly, I think it is too late. :(
by Arisztid on November 1st, 2009
Hopefully it isn't. She did post the answer very recently as well...
by AnonymousGirl on November 1st, 2009
I hope so. I would bet that her cat has better body health than Rags... he was skeletal and too weak to even take the stress of a vet visit for 3 weeks. I called the vet and he told me to build him up a bit, deflea him, deworm him, and bring him in when he was stronger. AFTER building him up and GAINING weight, he weighed in at 3.4 lbs at the vets. However, his anemia was not terrible.
.
This cat sounds very far along in the anemia... very. His CBC has to be in the toilet for those symptoms. That means the FIA, itself, has been taking a toll on him for a long time. Old age, no teeth, going blind, and the FIA (it causes loss of appetite as one of the symptoms) is what had Rags so down but the FIA had not taken him far into anemia.

You're definitely packed with information on this subject, Arisztid. It's hard for me to understand all of this as I've never really been close to a cat who's gone through this. I'm trying to understand, though. :)
by AnonymousGirl on November 1st, 2009
It is a pretty complex disorder. As far as nursing sick cats, I have been doing that for decades. Rags is not the only almost dead cat that I have brought back.
