Once you have decided what you believe on any issue you will almost certainly find something in the Bible to support your stance, so Christian women don't believe they have it wrong, even the ones that disagree with each other.
yes, femenazis believe the treditional beliefs of christianity are wrong.
femenazis would HATE this woman.
personally I believe men have the leadership role to make us equal in importance to women. women are by nature FAR MORE important than men whether you believe in the old testiment, darwin or a combination of the 2. not only could the species perpetuate with a a 50 to 1 female to male ratio, but I believe men treditionaly work outside the home because we are less typicaly qualified in the home... and I am speaking as a Mr Mom. I believe the modern feminist has brought harm to both men and women. the femenist movement was needed at one time but now not only are the pushing things back out of balance, but they are teaching women to be miserable spinsters. I would much rather a pleasant airhead than a miserable marie curie... (no, I am not creating a false dichotomy... I did not say those are the only 2 choices. I have know miserable airheads and pleasant intelligent people.... thought I have only been married to a miserable genious, her poor boyfriend will probably be stuck with her for life.)
feminists, are most certainly insulted when they are told that a woman should be in subjection to her husband, and that the bible says it is a part of God's arrangement. they interpret this to mean women are inferior to men.
Yes feminists would think that chrisitans have got it wrong. But the bible is at odds with feminism, and there are many dissagreements that christians would have with feminism. I think the two positions are mutually exclusive.
Essentialy, christians are NOT in the buisness of gender role reversal. We understand clearly that man and woman were created as equal but different. So our expression of equality incorporates this image of diversity and distinction of roles. We understand that leadership and teaching are male responsibilies. But there is great diversity within a church, and many roles which women are especially called into. We do not regard our leaders as being better than anyone else... And if you want to correct gender bias in the church, take a good look at your mowing roster.
" Do feminist believe Christian women have it wrong? "
I think that's the wrong question. You're over generalizing Christianity. I don't know where this Christian woman got her ideas, but there are a lot of women pastors, so....?
It doesn't matter. The Bible says it is a shame for women to speak in the church. It also says for a woman not to usurp authority over the man. If someone is going to claim to follow the Bible 100%, it makes sense for him or her to admit that . . . or to admit he or she is picking and choosing what to believe from the Bible.
Proof:
"And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." - I Corinthians 14:35 (KJV)
"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." - I Timothy 2:12 (KJV)
" . . . there are no women pastors . . . "
According to Christianity & a bunch of other religions women are property of men.
You don’t need to be a feminist to know that’s morally & logically wrong.

You're reading I overheard a Christian woman saying there is no women pastors in her church and she has no desire to be a pastor because it is not a woman's place in the church Biblically. Do feminist believe Christian women have it wrong?
