  • This problem has been going on for quite some time now and is very frustrating. If a person posts the same question twice, you can just go to their account and call up both of them to get the number of the questions. Type one number in the duplicate box of the other. If it's two different people, what you often have to do is have another AB tab open where you can type the question in the Search for Answers box, get the number from the original and type it into the duplicate box of the question you're looking to flag.
  • 1. Find what you believe to be the duplicate question. 2. Copy the 7 digit number that appears in the URL. 3. Paste the 7 digit number is the SEARCH TERMS box. *Note: Nothing will appear at first. You must REMOVE the last digit and type it in again. (You can also just manually type in the number.) This will prompt the search engine to enter the duplicate question you found in step #1. 4. When the question appears in the box, select CHOOSE. It's then up to AB moderators (or whoever determines these things) to accept or reject your submission. >>I might also note that I have done this with questions that were NOT exact duplicates, but were close enough for me to consider them the "same question". I don't waste a lot of thought over it. I'll just submit it and let "them" determine whether the submission is valid or not.
