He just could be, really!! He's popular with the masses, millions of people world wide believe in him, and he thinks he's next to God.
Come to think about it, there were several figures through out history that were the same way,
Gaius Julius Caesar, from the late 60s and into the 50s BC.
Roman Emperor Nero Ceasar - One of the biggest signs that point to Nero being the Antichrist is the number 666.
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin - Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars. Informally, leader of the Bolsheviks since their inception. - October 26, 1917 - January 21, 1924
Adolf Hitler, boy could he mesmerize a crowd.
Then there was Reagan, Alfred E Newman and now the newest on the list,
Could Barack Hussein Obama be part of the "Anti-Christ?"
This site deals with Biblical Prophecy and some of the "Anti-Christ" actions of Barack Hussein Obama.

Who says hes not.
I'm an atheist so I don't think a pope could be the antichrist, but I do believe in self-fulfilling prophecies and a pope could believe he was the antichrist..that's still kinda scary, even for us atheists.
No, because there is no such person as the antichrist.
Sure. However my vote is for Georg Steinbrenner.
Sure he could.
So could YOU.
So could I (ooOOoooOOOoohhh!)
So could any idiot. Because the people who still throw around the antichrist label despite thousands of years of being proven wrong (all the way from Emperor Nero to Marilyn Manson) must be idiots for continuing to perpetuate it.
No I don't think so. The Antichrist, he is here but he is only still a child. In the coming future he will rise. Remember the Antichrist only sees with "one eye".
Biblical apocalyptic literature predicts the coming of "the" Antichrist, the name given to the one who will be Christ’s chief enemy. This will be just one person.
It is not uncommon for fundamentalist writers or preachers to attach the label to a currently living person. By calling a second (or third or fourth) person "the" Antichrist, they show that they were wrong when they applied the title to the first person.
Every Pope since the time of Martin Luther has been labeled "the" Antichrist by at least one anti-Catholic "Christian," making each one incorrect (so far).
The adjective "anti-Christ" does not refer to the person prophesied in the Bible. It may be applied to an attitude or action judged to be fundamentally opposed to Christ and his message, for example: Hating others is anti-Christ.
Pope Benedict XVI just wrote a wonderful book entitled, "Jesus of Nazareth." http://www.ignatius.com/ViewProduct.aspx?SID=1&Product_ID=3060&AFID=42
From a book review: Through his brilliance as a theologian and his personal conviction as a believer, the Pope shares a rich, compelling, flesh-and-blood portrait of Jesus and invites us to encounter, face-to-face, the central figure of the Christian faith.
How can someone who writes such a book be accused of being either the Antichrist or anti-Christ?
With love in Christ.
Could be. He sleeps in a coffin and he's a big twilight fan so
nothing would surprise me at this point.
Yes, he very well could be? But I don't pretend to know who the antichrist will be. I just don't know. It will all be reveiled one day.
I just know that I am looking forward to that beautiful day when Our Dear Lord Jesus returns to the earth. "Every eye will see and every knee will bend".
it could be anyone including you.
And if he is, what are we gonna do about it?
Not the current one. He's just a kindly but out-of-touch German theology professor.
No, because the scripture renders the verse:
"Young children, it is the last hour, and, just as YOU have heard that antichrist is coming, even now there have come to be many ANTICHRISTS; from which fact we gain the knowledge that it is the last hour." (1 John 2:18).
You'll note that Antichrist is used in the plural, implying more than one. The scripture goes on to read:
"This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son. Everyone that denies the Son does not have the Father either. He that confesses the Son has the Father also." (1 John 2:22, 23)
An Antichrist is that simple, it is one who goes against the teachings of Christ.
There is a prophecy out there somewhere that claims he's the last Catholic Pope before the Lord returns...
'Peter II' might well be the False Prophet. This Pope isn't.
Are you???
Anyone could be
Sure the pope COULD be, I don't think he is, but any human could possible be
Bendict would certainly be in the race, if you think there is one. +4
The Pope and the Roman Church could very well be the Antichrist. Most of the Reformation leaders thought so and so do I. There are many cults (Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Seventh Day Adventist, etc) but in my estimation, the Roman Catholic Church is not only not Christian but it too is a cult and probably the most dangerous cult on the planet.
Yes. Damien and the pope.
muhammad is the antichrist because he was the reason for numerous murders and hatred and every sin imaginable
next in row is hitler and others

Absolutely. Both the Antichrist and the Papacy are under guard of Divine Providence. The Pope, however, is normally elected. The prophetic book, 'Centuries' of Michel De Notre Dame (Nostradamus), mentions this particular election.
