    G'day Benzs2,

    Thank you for your question.

It was asked three years ago when the answer was given as McAllen-Edinburgh-Misson, TX having an average income of $15,184 as opposed to a US average of $31,472. Another answer was given as Rio Grande City Texas although there was some dispute over both answers.

Given the uncertainty and the elapse of time, it is not a duplicate question as far as I am concerned. However, the latest data I could find was from the Bureau of Economic Analysis which showed that the Metropitan Statistical Area with the lowest income was McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, Texas with a per-capita income of $15184 followed by Brownsville-Harlingen and Laredo also in Texas. The Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk area in Connecticut is the highest earning area with a per capita income of $60,803.

I have attached a source for your reference. I would welcome people with more up-to-date sources to post them.

    Regards
