If you need your facts to be absolutely bulletproof, then Wikipedia can still be an excellent resource - just make sure that you only run with the facts that can be tracked down via the Wikipedia footnotes. When footnotes in the article link to a reliable source then you're golden - in cases like these it's better to think of Wikipedia as an information aggregator rather than a source in and of itself.

Wikepidia is fairly reliable, but it can be edited by anyone, and anyone can write anything, regardless if it is fact or fiction, Personally, I have found many thing on there to be true, and it is great to use for school projects. Just be careful of what you do and don't believe.

It's annoying as hell to me. Especially those 5 paragraph word-for-word answers. Sheesh, they could look it up themselves and decide.

I get tired of seeing Wikipedia links for every answer justifying it as if it were undeniable fact.

I once thought it was a commercial database that had a reliable structure, but after seeing some news reports about it, it is not as accurate as an encyclopedia.

Though it contains a whole lot of great information, it must all be taken with a grain of salt and viewed objectionably as it can be added to by ANYONE.

Do not take everything you read in Wikipedia as 100% true. Even though it sounds very factual and well put together, people can be very convincing... even when talking out of their butts.
