Though there are some medications that either supplement your diet or decrease muscle spasms, diet modification is the only 'sure' way to control IBS. There is no cure. I remember having that while in nursing school. I simply had to watch my diet, and take 2 medications and eventually it cleared up on it's own. Dont eat or drink annything (i.e. dairy) that is apt to bring on the IBS..
