I didn't have any choice. I HAD to be good at dealing with emergencies!
Actually this week I witnessed a hit and run and must have gone into auto pilot as called the ambulance, went into first-aid mode and so on. It wasn't until I got back into work that I realised I was violently shaking - I guess we all cope when we have to.
I'm amazed but somehow I get really calm and just deal with them. I can seem to organize my thoughts and figure out what to do in the right order...as long as it doesn't involve my husband. When it's something bad happening to him, I seem to really lose it and get so fearful and panicky. I do figure it out, but it takes some doing to find my balance and move forward
Not good!
Very well.

Not very good. And that is why I try to plan and prepare in order not to have deal with emergencies.
I can usually deal with the situation and do what needs to be done, but then I fall apart later when no one is depending on me.

How about you Polly? Can we count on you in an emergency?
I deal well in an emergency.
Actually very good! I thought I would be horrible at it but, in the emergencies I have had to deal with I'm calm and do what needs to be done.
Pretty good, I may not feel calm internally but I maintain it outwardly and in action, a necessity as my work requires me to handle emergencies from time to time.
i actually feel im pretty good at it. i have been dealinig with emergencies all my life so its sort of second nature to me lol +4
Much better than you would imagine (if you knew me)
Not very good. But I am learning to laugh or smile at least in grave situations. It is a success almost.
PDG!
The only way I've found to survive them with any sanity - with Faith in God,Prayer, and staying clothed in the Full Armor of God!
I think I handle emergency situations fairly well.
Pro - I am at my best in an emergency
I worked in construction back in the 1990's and one day we were transporting machinery from one site to another and a fire started on it. It started to spread very quickly but luckily we were near to a milk processing plant and they had large water hoses, we fought the fire at that plant and luckily we managed to put it out. It may have only been 5 minutes but it seemed a lot longer at the time. You just stop thinking and stuff just happens automatically, I can't explain it. So yeah if it happens you have to deal with it.
If there are standard procedures, quite well. If it is complex or unstructured emergency, terribly. +3
