If you don't sleep, your body has no time to repair itself. You calf muscles hurt because they haven't been repaired from the daily damage which is done by walking.
On a side note, "all-nighters" aren't a good idea for a couple of reasons.
1. you're less alert, so your rate of absorbing information drops way down.
2. When you learn something in a deviated mental state (tired, on caffine, drunk, stoned, etc.) you will have difficulty recalling it unless you're in that state. This means that all your cramming for exams may be for nought, and you will have trouble remembering what you learnt while you were fully awake.
I've done the all-nighters for uni many times, but trust me, they aren't any good for you, and don't really help that much. All you're doing is destroying your body without much gain.
Last time my calf hurt from doing an all-nighter(wasn't studying" was because i sat down and didn't move or shift my weight.

You're reading Do you know why or what is going on with me physically? I’m pulling another all-nighter for college and my calf muscles are hurting. This happens almost every time I stay up all night and I do not know what it is, do you have any wisdom of knowledge?
