I've noticed in the contract I received from my agent (who is representing me as a buyer) that he will receive a 2.8% success fee if I purchase a property. Don't buyer's agents usually receive their commission from the seller?

    yes, realtors usually get paid by the seller, but they will try to get paid by the buyer if you let them get away with it.
