  • To each his own, but that's what makes the most sense to me.
  • Religion? I guess. UU's are a lot of fun and have a great community atmosphere. The only things they ever push are community, understanding and acceptance. That being said the church has a left leaning bias, not in doctrine, but in the nature of the members. Basically all the great things about a church community with none of that mucking about with scripture. Yeah, it is ideal, I just outgrew it.
  • I think in an ideal world it would be. But humans are less than ideal in their behavior. I enjoyed the principles of the faith for the short time I was able to attend. But, there was a lot of attention to politics as in government sort of politics. A very serious slant to the left. Which in and of itself really doesn't bother me since we were taught there that tolerence was the key doctrine but...as I mentioned humans are less than ideal in behavior. Every service ended with people ranting about evil republicans and right wing conspiracies. When I go to church I want to commune with the divine. It becomes dirty and ruined for me when I have to hear political rants while I'm there. It really scared me off.
