People tend to think the world is a worse place than it is. So they do what they can to take the imaginary pain away.
Of course, a large part of that is the whole financial aspect. People make money off medicine and so people push medicine. Ethically, it's very wrong - especially when it comes to things that can be done without medication or with a very low dosage.
Last I heard, in a psychiatric setting, doctors are prescribing medication within three minutes of meeting with a client. That's barely enough to know if the problem is neurological or psychological...
Because we give medication out like candy, people have taken a liking to its comfort and have decided that it feels better and is easier than dealing with our issue, which is wrong. Very, VERY wrong. In order to fix a problem, you need to get to the root of it. You can't fix something you don't know.
without drug companys greasing the pockets of the government and the doctors, how would they be able to afford their "houses on the hill"
Doctors are reluctant to suggest natural cures. I think this is due in part to their education, and also in part to the regulations of where thy work.
Because the FDA, instead of being a watchdog over the pharmaceutical industry, has become its lapdog. We have been 'educating' people to take more 'medicines' because we supposedly unable to heal ourselves naturally.
It's not only in America that happens, it's the same over here, the doctor is writing out a prescription 30 seconds after you sit down and open your mouth.
They like to get high. And obviously truely make themselves believe that if the Dr.'s prescribing it, they're not an "addict" and have an excuse for their pill popping.
We are a world of instant gratification. It's definitely the American Way and part of the American Ruination.
advertisements are everywhere...doctors want money so they push pills on people..we have been brain washed to believe that a pill will make it better..drug companies don't care about the true health of the nation..and people themselves are mentally emotionally and physically too weak to use mind power to make themselves better or to exercise and eat right..
In my experience, physicians "push" pills on their patients often times. And, patients usually want them .. sometimes it's easier than trying to solve some medical issues other ways. I try to avoid taking pills if at all possible.
