Each jurisdiction (each country and in many cases each state) has different rules, so it's not possible to answer your question without knowing WHERE you are.
In Australia you can record video of yourself and another person without consent under some circumstances, in some places, but it depends on the state. In Australia it's considered "Optical Surveillance".
It's more complicated than that though, and then there are rules as to whether you can publish the video - again, it depends on the state you're in.

If this was shot in your house, then you don't need their permission. If it was done elsewhere, then yes you do.
