Why do you want to talk with a person? Actually, I think E-bay is now enabled with a "chat" function so you can talk with an associate online.
To me, it sounds like they are charging you the fees associated with selling your items on e-bay. It isn't free, my friend. Did you research what the fees were prior to listing the item? Usually they give you a running total at the end, or a per item cost breakdown...like an extra $5 or something for a "highlighted" listing, or $1 for a purple border, or a charge for reserve price, etc.
My recommendation is to check your account, because if E-bay deducted their fees and they used the debit card your mom put on her account when she opened it with E-bay, you should show a $0 balance. If the charges are legit, there is no reason to fight them because they performed a service (listing your item) and legitimately debited the fees associated with the sale.
Yeah, I understand that somewhere in the fine print they charge you for a transaction. I signed up for it some time ago but I have never used the service. Doubt I ever will.

You're reading I sold something on e-bay using my mom's account. They paid me through pay-pal. Now I have a $9.40 charge on my debit card. When I call e-bay, I cant talk to a person until I FAX them personal info. Is this legal? How can I just talk to a person?
