There's sometimes only so much you can do. Sometimes after a criminal case, you can still take them to civil court for monetary damages ... but you can only try a "crime" once. The judicial system isn't always fair.
Most judge's wiegh out the consequense's for everyone and deal out what will hurt the guilty the most without destroying the chances of rehabilatation. It's a fine line, and never what the victem feels is appropriate.
bring private prosecution if you can afford it but would it be worth it
I was stopped for speeding. According to IL law an automatic appearance in court is required. How do I settle this w/? trips to IL from CT?
