Yes it should have been called North American Series from the start. However, even that is wrong as all teams are from the US apart from one (Toronto).
However, the name has stood since 1903 and changing it now is unnecessary.

You're reading Anyone else think the WORLD series is a joke? I mean only American teams enter - it's not as if British or Canadian teams enter - Shoudn't it be more accuratly renamed the American Series?
