With journalism in the state of decline that it is, sometimes Jon Stewart provides a more honest analysis of current events than other "sources" of news.

Jon Stewart is a comedian and a commentator. It's often difficult to separate the commentary and the humor from the factual content of his monologues. He's certainly entertaining, but I would never recommend him to anyone as the sole source of current news.

He doesn't claim to be. He has a comedy show. He deals with current events, so it is a comic commentary on the news.

His job is to spoof the media not necessarily be the be all end all in the truth of everything out there.
