Just do what I do when the salt build-up gets too all built up, back your car into the neighbors swimming pool, that'll get under the hole car, where it can really start to show rust. ;+

Bit of rubbing compound, a polishing wheel and some Meguire's clear plastic polish. I actually use 2000 grit sandpaper and clearcoat but that may make some people nervous. You should hose off your car regularly (over and under) if you commute around salt water. That stuff can kill metal, paint and plastics.
