Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe and the antilock brakes activate when slowing down and the surface isn't slippery. I have almost gone through stop lights and rear ended cars. Breaks work fine at high speeds but not at low speeds.

There is a service Bulletin on that problem.
A dealer might cover it under warrenty, but I don't know for sure. You will have to ask the about the bulletin number below.

Send me an email (address is in my profile) and I can send you repair instructions.

#03-05-25-007D: Antilock Brake (ABS) Activation at Low Speeds (Clean Wheel Speed Sensor Mounting Surface) - (May 1, 2009)
    Condition
Some customers may comment on ABS activation at low speeds, usually below 8 km/h (5 mph). Upon investigation, the technician will find no DTCs set.
    Cause
The cause of this condition may be an increased air gap between the wheel speed sensor and the hub reluctor ring due to rust and debris built up on the sensor mounting surface.
