I sent back a burger that was frozen in the center.

I seldom send anything back but I don't eat or pay for bad food either.

I know what goes on in kitchens.

- Several family friends owned restaurants and bars. They taught me a lot about what to look for, what to order and gave me some tips about dining out.
  
  We toured many kitchens and I really enjoyed it.
  
  In my experience, you can get a great meal in a dump and an awful one in a place that charges obscene rates.
  
  For everyone: No matter where you are, you shouldn't put up with or pay for bad food. Don't eat it and then complaint...that's just plain dishonest. Oh, and if the kitchen mucks things up don't take it out on the waitstaff. Ask for a manager and let them know what your concerns are. Good service should be recognized even if the food is bad.

This incompetent Belgian waiter, bloody useless get spilt wine on me fish cakes. I wouldn't mind but I asked for dandelion & burdock, tsk tsk.

It's so rare when I send something back, but once when I ventured back for a second try at Olive Garden (after the first visit where I was served frozen food) I ordered some lasagna and lo and behold, it was frozen in the middle again, rock hard! I said no thank you and I'd just eat more of the salad and bread which are very tasty. And I've never gone back. Twice frozen, prepared ahead of time food, won't do that ever again.

I harly ever send anything back but a few months ago i order a burger and it was harly cook...to much pink for my likely so i sent it back.

Many many years ago. It was at a Mexican restaurant and there were a couple of long dark hairs mixed in with the beans. That's why I make my own meals at home. Plus I just really enjoy it! :)

Pizza from Pizza Hut -- I specifically said "Extra Cheese" in both the "Toppings" section and under "Special Instructions", yet they STILL managed to eff it up.

I would never send a meal back ...then ask for another!! I have worked with chefs and they really become revengeful and cranky if someone does this...believe me...you won't want to eat the second meal. If its that bad I just wont eat it and won't go back to that restuarant.

At Applebee's i had a burger,medium. I took a bite,it tasted strange, took another bite. Then i looked at it. Cooked on the outside,RAW on the inside. They gave me a much better burger for free.

I have only done this once. I stupidly ordered a dish at a pub (should have known enough to order a burger , fish and chips or lobster salad sandwich). This was a pasta and fish dish - the sauce was so greasy- I took one look at it and sent it back (It probably had a stick of butter in it - it was not a wine sauce as advertised).

I sent it back - they took it off the bill. I had lost my appetite and did not eat.

I sent the pizza pie back because it was undercooked, but I to go eat somewhere else. I got a gift certificate from the Pizza place for the inconvenience.
